1976年、ロンドンで観たセックス・ピストルズのライヴに感銘を受けて結成。メロディアスなヴォーカルと性急なサウンドを武器に、マンチェスター音楽シーンの草分け的存在としてUKパンクロックシーンを牽引してきたバズコックス。
再結成後の1991年から2014年にかけて発表したアルバム、シングル、レア／未発表曲を8CDに収録したボックスセットが登場。
1991年の『The 1991 Demo Album』に、『Trade Test Transmissions』(1993年)、『All Set』(1996年)、『Modern』(1999年)、『Buzzcocks』(2003年)、『Flat-Pack Philosophy』(2006年)、『The Way』(2014年)といった6タイトルのスタジオアルバム、さらにはスティーヴ・ディグルのアーカイヴから発掘された貴重なホームレコーディング音源、デモ、シングルB面曲、プロモ楽曲など全160曲を収録。そのうち、初CD化音源や未発表音源は29曲。
『A Different Compilation』と銘打ったCD7には、「Ever Fallen In Love」「Fast Cars」「Harmony In My Head」「What Do I Get」「Orgasm Addict」など70年代のヒット曲のリワークヴァージョンを24曲収録。
